MONTGOMERIE—DRBAVER

The marriage was celebrated recently at St, Paul’s Church, Cashel street, of Ella, eldest daughter of Mr J. Dreaver (Colombo street, Becken-. ham), to Roy, eldest son of Mr A. Montgomerie, Greytown. North Island. The ceremoriy wat performed by the Rev. A. McNeur (Waiau), and Mr A. Lilly was organist. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a redingote frock of vellum-tinted lace mounted on satin of a deeper tone. The bodice had long fitting sleeves forming points over the hinds, and the skirt widened into a train. Her vellum-tinted veil was bordered with braid in lace design, and was attached to a coronet _of orange. ■blMsoml a quet of "water lilies; roses and gladioli. Misses Jrene Jackson and Ada Robb, who attended as bridesmaids, wore frocks of delphinium blue and foxglove pink respectively, and their bouquets and the sprays in their hair were of flowers to tone, . _ The two flower girls, Miss Joy Ellis and Miss Marie Jackson, were dressed alike in taffeta of the same shades as the bridesmaids’ frocks. The wedding bell rang at St. Barnabas Church, Fendalton, for the marriage of Joan Valmai, second daughter of Mr and Mrs E. E. Weston (Weka street. Fertdalton), and' Edwin William Stanley, only son of Mr and Mrs A. E. Hignett, Karoro, Greymouth. The ceremony was performed by Canon F. B. Redgrave,* and the organist was Mr Norman Williams. The bride was given away by her father. She wore a frock of ivory satin embroidered with silver bugle beads and made on classical lines, the train extending from a shirred waistline at the back. Her veil Of cut tulle, arranged over the face, was attached to a coronet of satin, and she carried a sheaf of lilies and maidenhair fern. She w° r e also a necklace of real .pearls, the gift of her mother. Miss Daphne Odell, a cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Her frock was of delphinium blue lace over pink taffeta, made with a bustle back. She carried pink and blue flowers to tone. : The best man • was Mr p. Rear (Greymouth), and Messrs R. G. Pattinson and H, McDonald were ushers, At the reception, held later, the guests were received by Mrs E. E, Weston, who wore an ensemble of navy wool crepe, trimmed with faggotting. Her bouquet was of coral pink flowers. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who wore a black frock trimmed with' floral applique. ■ Her flowers toned with the pattern of her frock.
