Mrs H. J. Beck (Greymouth) will arrive in Christchurch next week to stay with Mr« H. J. Quarrell, Opawa. Mrs Norman Stewart (Springston) and her sister, Miss Ena Foster (New Brighton) will leave to-night for Wellington to attend the Centennial Exhibition. Mr and Mrs Beasley, Mr and Mrs W. G. Ives, and Mr and Mrs H. Turlin (Christchurch) will leave to-day for the West Coast to attend the bowling tournament at Greymouth. At a meeting of the Ladies’ Guild of the British Sailors’ Society a letter was read from a member who has recently returned from England.
