.-■■ -I.'-.i. man dies from injuries (Received, February 4, IL3O p.m,) SYDNEY, February 3. - A bather’s death following ah attack by a shark occurred at North Brighton beach, close to Sydney, today. John William Elk, aged .55, was attacked in a few feet of water. His left arm was torn Off at the shoulder. Two bathers suddenly saw Elk lashing the stiff with his arms. The. water became bloodstained. They immediately went to Elk’s assistance, brought him ashore, and gaye first aid, Elk, however, died later in hospital, ' .-'..w
