Cast in prominent supporting roles, under, the direction of Lesley Selander, . are: Charlotte Wynters, Russell Hoptoh. Sonny Bupp, and the popular male quartet, “The King’s Men.”
Insane goings-on ;• in a European watering-place, in which the chief participants are a millionaire,' an American heiress, a scheming Russian prince, a romantic-minded bus-driver, and an often-married lady pistol champion.
Bright Programme for Plaza
make up the action of Paramount’s new Martha Raye-Bob Hope comedy .riot, “Never Say Die,” the associate feature in this programme. Played by Hope, Miss Raye, Alan Mowbray, Andy- Cervine, and Gale Sondergaard respectively the characters get into" a royal mix-up when Hope; who thinks he has
only a month to live, marries, the desperate Miss Raye in order to save her from the prince her father has chosen for her. The situation takes a turn for the worse (if worse could be imagined) when Devine, the American bus-
driver Miss Raye thinks -she loves, insists oh making the honeymoon a threesome, while the married - couple gradually fall in love with each other in spite of themselves. , .
.Episode 4 of “The Lone Ranger. Rides Again” is also to be shown with this programme.
It is reported from London that the production of George Bernard Shaw’s : comedy, : “Major Barbara;”- will definitely start early in January ;and when
completed will be released throughout- Australia and New Zealand by Gaumoht British Dominions Filins. The part of “Major Barbara,” a Salva-
tion Army lassie, was written by Shaw for_ 'the date illustrious Ellen ; Terry: “Major Barbara’.’ 'ih,i*he. picture will be played by Wendy Hiller, who created such a profound impression as “Eliza Doolittle”: in Shaw’s “Pygmalion.”
