"VTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section TO of the above Act that the Lyttelton Borough Council intends on a date to be hereafter appointed to take a poll of ratepayers on the following proposal: “That the Lyttelton Borough Council (pursuant to the consent of the Local Government Loans Board given under “The Local Government Loans Board Act 1926” and its amendments on the 3rd day of Npvember, 1939) be authorised to raise a. Special Loan ol £3OOO for the purpose of improving and extending the Borough water supply by installing a Booster pump and motor at the junction of the Bin and 6in mains near the Railway Station, installing additional reservoir on upper level, laying 4in mains on upper level and renewing portion of Bin rising main at Heathcote.” The security for the proposed loan will be a special annual recurring rate ol one and a half pence in the pound on the annual value of all rateable property within the Borough of Lyttelton excluding that part thereof known as Diamond Harbour. The Loan will be repayable by forty (40) halfyearly instalments of One hundred and twelve pounds one shilling and ninepence (£ll2 Is 9d) each and consisting partly of principal and partly of interest.
