GERMAN LINER’S DASH NEW YORK, December 14. The Mexico City correspondent of the “New York Times” states that the German liner Columbus (32,510 tons), taking advantage of the preoccupation of the British warships, has made a dash from Vera Cruz. She is carrying 25,000 barrels of oil and is reported to have been supplied with special equipment for refuelling submarines. She also has four-inch guns which she can mount at sea.
