V*w* *Nt /* * o/ //z^ FLYING STANDARD 8 The Flying Standard 8 is available in two forms—Saloon de Luxe, and Open Tourer. It has a four-cylinder engine, independent front wheel suspension, roomy all-steel four-seater body, no foot wells. The driver's seat is adjustable. There is a large enclosed suit ease locker, and a separate compartment for spare wheel and tyre. It has a 3-speed synchro-mesh gear-box. The Standard 8 is a full family car with an excellent performance, and it provides the remarkable petrol consumption of 45-48 m.p.g. FLYING STANDARD Twelve and “Eight” The Flying Standard 12 has a four-cylinder engine, and provides the excellent performance of 30-32 m.p.g. It is fitted with Hydraulic Shock Absorbers front and rear, roomy six-light 4-5 seater body, with flush sliding roof, and has a large enclosed luggage boot with lid. The lid forms a firm extra platform. The spare wheel and tyre are in a separate compartment. It has steering column, adjustable front seat and control pedals, four speed synchro-mesh gears.
