SALARY OF FARMERS’ PRESIDENT
DENIAL OF RUMOURS A denial of rumours he alleged to be prevalent concerning the salary of the Dominion president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union (Mr W. W. Mulholland) was made by Mr T. V. Wilkinson, vice-president of the MidCanterbury executive of the union, at a meeting of the executive yesterday. Mr Wilkinson said that contrary to the rumours, the salary of the Dominion president was small, and that this year, because of the financial position of the Dominion executive, Mr Mulholland refused to take any payment whatsoever. Support of Mr Wilkinson’s statement was given by members of the executive.
