AEGEAN SOCIETY MEETING
• OFFICERS ELECTED The annual general meeting of the Aegean Society was held at the Veterans’ Hall recently. Mr C. Roy Harris presided. The following officers were elected: President, Mr C. Roy Harris; vice-pre-sident, Mr J. A. Anderson; honorary secretary, Mr A. Marris; honorary treasurer, Mr G. W. Burgess; honorary auditor, Mr F. G. Dunn; committee Messrs E. Pritchard, J. T. Mitchell, W Auld, J. Leathwick, W. Waterson, J. McDonald, E. Gates. H. Perryman, R Stevens, A., M. Brosnan. F. Hunt, W. Cronin, F. Pender, and E. D. Burns. Members expressed their appreciation of the service Mr Burgess had rendered to the society as secretary since its inception. A social evening was held afterwards, 80 members being present. Several members of the Special Military Force in training at Burnham also attended.
