RAILWAY STAFF CHANGES
RECENT PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED NEW TRAIN RUNNING OFFICER AT CHRISTCHURCH A number of promotions, transfers, and retirements among executive officers in the railway service in Canterbury and the West Coast were announced yesterday. The changes include the following:— Mr- C. L. Brice, stationmaster at Hokitika. to become stationmaster at Huntly. Mr W. E. Wilson, senior clerk at Tlmaru, to become stationmaster at Hokitika. ' _ .
Mr W. R. Thompson, staff officer at Christchurch, to become Train Running Officer at Christchurch, in place of Mr W. McKay, who has retired. Mr H. P. Mclver fills the staff vacancy created by Mr Thompson’s promotion. Mr W. J. Thompson, stationmaster at Addington, has retired, and the vacancy has been filled by Mr J. B. Elliott. stationmaster at Milton. Mr C. J. Williams, stationmaster, at Timaru, has retired, the vacancy being filled by Mr J. S. Scoullar. of Huntly.
