OBITUARY
MR G. F. HARRIS (fbou oto own coebespondent.) LONDON, November 10. The death has occurred at the age of 68, of Mr George Felix Harris, a director of the New Zealand «Shipping Company, Ltd., and the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Ltd. Mr Harris had a long experience of the British shipping industry, and in his earlier days was concerned with the Bulloch Bay Line in the Burma trade. He later joined the Bucknall Steamship Company, and through this came into association with the Federal Steam Navigation Company, subsequently being connected with the Ame-rican-Australian Line, which had been formed by the Bucknall and Federal Companies. For five years Mr Harris was chairman of the Australian Homeward Conference Lines. He was a director of the Aberdeen and Commonwealth Line, Ltd., the Australian Steam Shipping Company, Ltd., and the Federal Steam Navigation Company, Ltd., and took a leading part in the management of the Montreal Australian New Zealand Line, Ltd. He had been a member of the Baltic Exchange since 1922.
