N.Z. PAPER MILLS USUAL INTERIM DIVIDEND The directors of New Zealand Paper Mills have declared the usual interim dividend of 3 per cent., payable on November 15. • The company has maintained a steady rate of 7' per cent, for some years, the final distribution being made in May. MASON, STRUTHERS MR T. W. LEWIS ELECTED , . CHAIRMAN Mr T. W. Lewis has been elected chairman of directors of Mason. Struthers and Company, Ltd. He succeeds Mr Norton Francis, who died recently. ’ ■ , . , Mr James Maling has .been elected a director. „ GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKETS SHOW LITTLE ' CHANGE There has been little change in the Canterbury grain and produce markets Bince the last report. Potato prices are unaltered on light trading. Stocks of table potatoes are practically exhausted, and most of the business being done is in the smaller sizes. The seed markets are quiet, with a little retail business passing, but practically no wholesale. Quotations The following quotations to farmers on trucks at country sidings, unless otherwise indicated, are supplied by the president of the North Canterbury Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants’ Association. ~ . Wheat—Milling, f.0.b., Tuscan 5s lid; Hunters 6s Id: Pearl 6s 3d. payment of 3d a bushel on all wheat at the end of vear) Oats—A Gartons 2s. 9d to 3s, B Gartons 2s 6d, Algerians 3s to 3s 9d, Duns 3s 6d to 4s 6d. Ryegrass (good germination)—-Per-ennial up to 5s 6d (nominal). Italian up to 4s to 4s 6d (nominal). Cocksfoot—6d to 7d (nominal). White Clover—ls to Is 3d per lb. Red Clover—Old season’s. 4d to 6d: per lb; new season's, 7d Potatoes —£16 to £l7 a ton (nominal). Chaff— £4 2s 6d to £4 5s a ton. Barley—Malting 4s 7Jd, feed 3s to 3s 6d a bushel, according to quality Bran—Large £4 15s, small £5 ss. Pollard—Large £6 5s a ton, small £6 15s,
