PRESENTATION TO ' MR C. J C. CRADDOCK ' Mr C. J. C. Craddock, supervisor of: the parcels branch of the Post and Telegraph Department in - Christ-
church,, who retired.on .Saturday-;after 40‘ years ih the service, was honoured by fellow - officers yesterday,.; and Mr G. Clark, Chief; Postmaster, gave him a travelling- rug ' and -chiming - clock from them. ; ..
■- Mr Craddock joined the department at New Brighton ‘ as a messenger in 1899, and v®nt from there to Rangiora._ Moving to Taranaki, Mr Craddock. worked in Woodville, Inglewood, andNew, Plymouth, :and ; then took leave for nine months to make a tour round the world. He rejoined the department -at- - Taurahga, and from there
went to Inglewood again, and Stratford, New Plymouth, and Masterton. From Masterton he came to Christchurch 16 years ago, arid he has' held the positions here of supervisor of the clerical branch, stall clerk;, supervisor ;of 'registration, and his last position, supervisor of the parcels branch.- Mr Craddock will spend a few months •travelling before settling- down in Christchurch.
