NEMONA There was no wash-up at the Nemona dredge last week, owing to a good deal of the week’s operations comprising the work of raising the levels of the dam. BLACKBALL CREEK Due to repairs having to be carried out, and a loss of considerable time resulting, there was no wash-up at the Blackball Creek dredge last week. big nivEir The Big River Gold Mines’ report for, the week ended September 21 is as follows:—No. 5, level: North slope; Stope filled, stone 4ft Sin wide in centre,-narrowing to the ends. Length 40ft. North drive: Advanced five feet. Total, 69 feet. No change. No. 6 level— Rise: Driven up four feet, Total, 10 feet. Opening timber completed. Winze: Reef tour feet wide, of a loose boulder- formation. Battery: Twentyseven tons of stone aeht to the battery. MOSSY CREEK There was no washup at the Mossy Creek dredge last week. WORKSOP EXTENDED The Worksop "Extended return for the week ended September 21 Is 230z for 127 hours and 10,500 yards.
