DUKE OF KENT STAYING IN ENGLAND
LORD GOWRIE CONTINUES AS GOVERNOR-GENERAL LONDON, September 9. It was announced from Buckingham Palace that the Duke of Kent is not going ,to Australia, He has taken up a naval appointment which will last for the duration of the war. The King has therefore accepted the recommendation of the Australian Government that Lord Gowrie should remain in office.
