The Minister for Public Works (the Hon. R. Semple) is an expected arrival in Christchurch this morning from Wellington. The Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, the Hon. G. R. Hunter, the Hon. J. A. McCullough, the Hon. W. Hayward, and the Hon. M. Connelly,, members of the Legislative Council, arrived from the north yesterday morning. Mr J. Hargest and Mr A. N. Grigg, members of Parliament, were passengers from the north by the steamer express yesterday morning. Professor R. Jack, of the University of Otago, arrived by the steamer express from Wellington yesterday morning. Mr James Begg was among the passengers who arrived from the North Island by the steamer express yesterday morning. Mr H. D. Acland, president of the New Zealand SKeepowners’ and Farmers’ Federation, returned to Christchurch yesterday morning. Dr. R. R. D. Milligan, president of the Christchurch branch of the League of Nations Union, returned to Christchurch from, the North Island yesterday morning. Mr C. C. Davis was a passenger from the north by the steamer express yesterday. Mr W. O. Gill was a passenger for the north by the steamer express last evening. Mr P. Stanlev Foster will return by air this morning from Dunedin, where he has been attending the annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
