The Minister for Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, announced that he had received a report from the Price Investigation Tribunal concerning the price charged for beer.

The Minister saiu he had the assurance of the tribunal that the decision, which was accepted by the parties, meant that a portion of the recent increase in taxation would be borne by the brewers and licensed victuallers, and provided for the standardisation of measures and prices in, the four main metropolitan areas.
