Barton as assessors, constituted a Compensatioc Court which heard a claim for £B2OO by the Mutual Life and Citizens’ Assurance Company, Ltd., against the Wellington City Corporation for land dedicated by the company to the corporation at the corner'd Hunter street and Featherston street. The 'case was heard on August 28. In giving the judgment of the Court the Chief Justice awarded the claimant 150 guineas costs, together with disbursements and witnesses’ expenses to be, fixed by the registrar. The assessors’ fees, 25 guineas each, are also to be paid by the respondent.
