DRAINAGE BOARD PROPOSAL,.,., . SUPPORTED. A resolution in favour of the proposal of the Ellesmere Lands Drainage "Board to raise a loan for a permanent outlet from “Lake Ellesmere was carried without dissent at %a meeting- of settlers at Greenpark last night. The - details of the-prpposal, which will entail a total estimated expenditure of £116,305, were explained to the meeting by Mr F.' Langbein, district engineer of the Public Works-Department,. ; and Mr P. R. Climie, secretary of the Canterbury Progress League.
