PLEASANT POINT YACHT CLUB MEETS A profit of £2B 12s for the year, with a balance of assets over liabilities of £l2B, was shown In the report presented to the annual meeting of the Pleasant Point Yacht Club, at which the commodore (Mr E. W. Rountree), presided. The commodore’s report showed a slight increase in the membership during the year. The racing and general club activities had been more satisfactory than for some years past, the present position showing much promise. • There was considerable discussion about the damage done by vandals to the club property’ recently, and it was decided that the attention of the police be called to the matter, and that • they be requested to take any necessary action. The election- of officers resulted sident, Mr A. F. Stacey; vice-presidents, the Mayor of New Brighton (Mr E. L. Smith), Captain A. W. Owles. Messrs J. S. Ainsworth, R. Dixon, and S. J. Crammer:’commodore, Mr E. *W. Rountree; vice-commodore. Mr J. Knight; secretary and treasurer, Mr B. Christensen; committee, Messrs R. Aitken, R. Scott, W. McDowell, S. Underhay, J. Gibson, F. Mawson, with L. Alexander as junior members' ’ representative; delegates to Canterbury Sailing and Power Boat Association, Messrs E. .W. Rountree and B. Christensen. Opening day was fixed for October 8.
