REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES ARRANGED *1 “ MEETING OF EXECUTIVE Advice was received from the Auckland Football Association atria# evening’s meeting. of the ’ Canterbury Association that September 30' was the. only available date for the Football Association trophy match between Auckland and Canterbury. It was decided to accept this date for the fixture. Mr J. E. Jones presided. ■ / The following representative and cup final- fixtures for the remainder of the season were approved:—September 2; Chatham Cup final. Western (Canterbury) v. Waterside (Wellington), at Wellington. September 9; English Cup final. September 16: v. Otago (Jones Cup return game), at Christchurch. September 23: v. Wellington, at Christchurch. September 30: v. Auckland (Football Association trophy), at Auckland. - A match against the W est Coast will be played on any date In September acceptable to the West Coast, with the exception of September 9. Two requests from Christchurch business firms for grounds for friendly games were granted. The dates arranged for the games are September 2 and September 9. . It was announced that arrangements had, been completed for the matches to be played by two teams from the Otago Boys’ High School at English Park to-day. -The games will be between - Christchurch secondary schoolboys, and the first and junior teams pf the Otago school. Draw for Saturday > The following draw for. Saturday was approved.
