THE Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board -*■ hereby gives public notice that such Board proposes to raise a Special Loan of Fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) to be known as the “Permanent Outlet to Lake Ellesmere Loan 1. The particular purposes for which the loan is required is to provide the Board’s contribution to works to be undertaken by the Government under Section 30 of the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936 for the drainage and control of Lake Ellesmere in the Canterbury Land District and for the protection of lands j adjacent to such lake including the construction, of a permanent outlet from the said lake to the sea. . 2. The term of the tsaid loan shall be for a period of thirty years. 3. The proposed security for such loan will be the following special rates over a special rating area more particularly described in Section 30 of the Local Legislation Act 1938, (a) 1 23/32 nd of a penny in the £ on all rateable property classified as Class A in the said area on the capital value thereof. (b) 11/16ths of a penny in the £ on all rateable property classified as Class B in the said area on the capital value thereof. (c) 9/32nds of a penny in the £ on all rateable property classified as Class C in the said area on the capital value thereof 4. The provision for repayment of the said Loan will be the establishment of a Sinking Fund with annual payments thereto of not less than the sum of Three hundred pounds (£300). 5.
