IMPRISONMENT FOR MOTORIST
NEGLIGENT DRIVING CAUSES DEATH (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NELSON, July 19. John Leonard Hall, a young man, who was found guilty of negligent driving, causing the death of a cyclist, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment and prohibited from driving for five years. Mr Justice Northcroft said there was nothing vicious in the case, but, like a great many motorists, principally young ones, but also many older ones, the accused had driven irresponsibly without due regard to the rights of others. ____________
