A CALF’S UNUSUAL FOOD
(By Ross Smith, Kimbell)
Last year one of our calves was out in the same paddock as our horse. He began to chew the horse’s tail off. The silly horse stood there without objecting until its tail was almost bare. Galves eat unusual food. Sometimes they eat the washing on the line, or soap, paper, or paint. II they eat paint the lead will poison them. They also eat the bark off willow trees. Although I had seen calvesdo all these things before, this Was the first time I had seen one having a meal of horsehair.
