OBITUARY
MR D. K. TORRANCE IXHE PRESS Special Service.! DUNEDIN, July 17. The. death occurred to-day of Mr David' Kirkwood Torrance, at the age of 74 years. In his younger days he was a well-known Rugby footballer representing the Otago Province on numerous occasions between 1888 and 1895. Later he acted as a referee and also served on the executive of the Otago Rugby Union. > MR C. H. KNIGHT The death of Mr Charles Herbert Knight occurred at Nelson on Sunday as a result of a motor accident. Mr Knight was well known in Christchurch, being the son of the late Mr James Knight, a prominent sportsman and tradesman. He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Misses Pat and Ola Knight. . , ~ _ „ He also leaves two sisters. Mrs F. RJones (Wellington) and Mrs W. S. Hughes (Christchurch). MR A. A.
