POULTRY PRODUCERS, LTD. GUESTS AT MAYFAIR LOUNGE The sixth annual ball of the Canterbury Co-operative Poultry Producers, Ltd., held last evening at the Mayfair Lounge, was one of the most enjoyable yet held by the association. Because of overcrowding at previous dances, the organising committee had paid special attention to the comfort of their guests, who were advised to forget the “scratches” of the day. and take part in dances selected specially for the occasion.’ Members of the capable organising committee were Messrs W. Skelton (secretary), J. Liggins, T. S. Dove, and W. M. Evans. Invitations to attend as honoured guests bad been extended to Mr. and Mrs S. Dick, Mr and Mrs J. Liggins, Mr and Mrs T, S. Dove, Mr and Mrs A. Martin, and Mr and Mrs W. E. Green. ' Amongst those present were Mesdames A. B. L. Smith, A. Martin, W. Turner, W. Skelton, W. M. Evans, W. Barrell, E. L. Brown, J. CARD SOCIAL AT PREBBLETON To augment the funds of All Saints’ Church, Prebbleton, the women’s social committee held another of its fortnightly card socials in the Parish Hall, Prebbletdn. ‘ _ Prizes were won by Mesdames H. Prebble and F. Carter, Messrs J. Hill and A. Giles. Mesdames J. James and W. Hands supervised the supper. _ Those present were Mesdames G. Rutherford, H. Hoff. J. Giles, S. Greenslade, C. Hands, F.
