MAX FIXE!) FOR THREATENING BFHAVIOFR Q'UESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, June 2. A disturbance in the office of the Social Security Building yesterday resulted in the appearance before Mr W. H. Stilwcll, S.M., of David James (Tomic, aged 47, a seaman, who pleaded guilty to behaving in a, threatening manner and also to using obscene language. Ho was convicted and fined *CB in default 14 days’ imprisonment, on one charge, and £l, in default seven daws, on tiro other. It was stated 'hat Cromie called at the Social Security office, where he apparently had some business to transact. and at the same time was under the inlluence of liquor. He was given some papers to fill in. and told to return later. He became abusive and began In use obscene language. He eventually picked up an inkwell and threw it at one of the clerks. The whole office was upset by his conduct. Pic continued to use bad language after he had been put out by the office staff. It was a really bad case, said the prosecution. The accused had a long list of previous convictions. Cromie said ho was insulted h -1 ” a member of the staff and lost his temper.
