GERMANY: CONTRAST OF SCENE AND OUTLOOK

The top left photograph shows a huge rally in the Luitpold arena, Nuremberg, where Nazi troops are gathered to hear a speech by Hitler. Below, the Rev. Joseph D. Ostermann, formerly of Germany, and now of Cathedral College, New York, is addressing a great anti-Nazi rally, held in the Forum, Montreal, under the auspices of the German Canadian League. It was attended by some 50Q0 persons. In Canada, it is interesting to note, there are 500,000 persons of German descent. Another aspect of Germany is shown in the other photograph, a quiet scene of an old church at Heidelberg by night.
