[THE PRESS Special Service.] BLENHEIM, May 22. Through a stationary motor-car being struck by an' oncoming vehicle on the Taylor Pass road yesterday afternoon, Colin Stagg, of Spring Creek, aged 17, and a child, Shirley Way, were admitted to hospital, the former suffering from concussion and the latter from cuts and bruises. The mishap occurred about 4.30 p.m. at the bottom of a terrace where the road runs down on to the old river-bed opposite the Meadowbank homestead. As the car went down the slope the driver apparently lost control, for the vehicle veered over to the right and struck a stationary vehicle, the occupants of which were Thomas Edward Smart, his wife, Miss Nola Smart, and Percy Smart. The impact was fairly severe, the oncoming car striking the other on its right-hand side, and capsizing. coming to rest on its left-hand side almost at right angles across the road. Smart's car was pushed back for about 20 feet and damaged along the right-hand side. MAN FOUND DEAD IN BED INVOLVED IN COLLISION ON PREVIOUS NIGHT (PBESS ASSOCIATION TKI.SG IU VI.)
