FLEET PERSONNEL INCREASED
NEW DEFENCE DECREES IN
FRANCE

LONDON, May 21. The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that nine new decrees include one increasing the personnel of the fleet lo 82,50U in the current year and 85,000 in 1940, modernising fortifications _in Algeria, and furnishing colonies with fuel oil stores.
