WEDDING
SIM—COWIE The marriage of Barbara Grace, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Cowie (Straven road), to Hugh, only son of Mr and Mrs Andrew Sim ibongside, Carew), was celebrated recently at St. Barnabas’ Church, Pendulum. the ceremony being perlormed by Canon E. JJ. Redgrave. Mr . Nwtn » K Williams was organist, and dump, the signing of the register. She was attended by Misses Catneiine Sim, Helen Hay, and Jeano Cowie. Their crinoline frocks of cyclamen ponll (allot a had overdresses of powder blue point d'esprit _ nice, men poke bonnets and mulls being ot matching material. Posies ot fuchsias trimmed their mulls. Mr Alan G. Cowie was best man. ana Mr Barry Barnett was groomsman. After the ceremony, the guests were entertained at Frascati by Mr and Mis George Cowie. The brides mother was wearing a navy blue frock of lace inset with rouleaux of silk crepe, and her hat was trimmed with a navyblue ostrich feather. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a frock of black wool georgette trimmed with gold braid, and touches of gold also relieved her black hat. She wore also a silver fox fur. and carried a bouquet of" golden-tinted flowers. When Mr and Mrs Hugh Sim left for their wedding tour, the bride was wearing a Russian suit of bottle giccn velour trimmed with seal fur, and a toque to match. She carried a squirrel stole the gift of the bridegroom. Mr and Mrs Sim will live at Longside, Carew.
