Walter William Gordon, for the theft of £99 9s 9d. the property of the Fordell Swimming Club, of which he was the secretary, was admitted by Mr Justice Ostler to two years’ probation. Gordon is to pay £l3 forthwith, and make restitution at the rate of £4 a month, and will also pay the costs of the prosecution. Gordon Alfred Streat, of Dargaville, for negligent driving causing the death of two persons near Waverley, was admitted to probation for two years, and was ordered to pay costs £ls. His licence was cancelled for three years. _____
