TRADE MONOPOLY SOUGHT
GERMAN DEMANDS TO
LITHUANIA
KAUNAS, May 9. The Lithuanian trade delegation has returned from Berlin. Germany is reported to be demanding
(1) That 45 per cent, of Lithuania's exports should be directed to Germany in return for corresponding imports. (2) Lithuania’s entire sea trade should go through Mernel. Cl) That Lithuania must not build her own port. It is suggested that Lithuania should not build new industries in her own territory, but should use those of Memel, which were handed over to Germany.
