Blomfield took a fall in the fourth round with elbow jolts and a body press, but the American evened with a fall in the sixth after two heavy dumps. They exchanged flying tackles ana elbow jolts till the end of the contest. When the verdict far Donovan was well received, as he had done most of the leading. Donovan scaled 16st 101b, and Blomfield 16st 81b. It was a stirring contest in which there was not a dull moment.
