WHIPPET RACING
* EASTER MEETING DERBY WON BY CAPTAIN KARA The New Zealand Whippet Racing Club Derby and Easter meeting was held at Bushy Park, Rlccarton, on Saturday. The track was In excellent condition, and there was a large attendance of spectators. After a close contest, Mrs V. L. Ashworth’s dog, Captain Kaka, won the Derby from Mr V. Ashworth’s Rongo Rose. Mr L. Solomon’s dog, Corroboree, won the Easter Cup, and Mr McFarlane’s Ouy Fawkes wn the sash and beat Mr H. W. Howard’s Flying Wyn In a special match race.
