VISIT TO CITY FACTORIES
* MR SAVAGE’S INSPECTION POSTPONED (From Our Own Reporter.) WELLINGTON, April 15. The visit of inspection to factories in Christchurch by the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) and the Minister for Industries andCommer.ce (the Hon, D. G. Sullivan) will not now take place until early ip May. When the announcement was made that the Prime Minister would make the visit, after tours of Wel-
lington and Auckland factories, it was expected that it would take place in April. However, Mr Savage has been fully engaged in Wellington this month. After attending many sessions, pf the New Zealand Labour Party’s conference, he will be occupied throughout next week in presiding at the conference on Pacific defence. He will visit Auckland for the dawn service on Anzac Day, and that appointment has caused his visit to Christchurch to be further deferred.
