VICKSBURGH (Mississippi), . March 31.

A strange tragedy cost the live* of at least 13 motorists, who were drowned in the Clear Creek bayou* where floods carried away a muchused bridge. One after another, nine motorcars plunged from the bridge into the swollen creek. Eight _ P ass £"T gers managed to swim to safety, nut most of them were trapped m tne sunken vehicles. . One driver swam half a mile o foVe getting ashore. He then back and halted other automobile* which were approaching the anyas.
