In hondtir of the marriage of her daughter. Miss Pamela Shackleton, to Mr Eliot .Brooke, Mrs L. Halliday gave a “primrose and green bathroom” party, at which Miss Mavis Smith sang and was accompanied by Mrs A. Parton and Miss Smith and Mrs A. Parton sang a duet. y Those present were Mesdames L. At another party given in honour of Miss Pamela Shackleton and Mr Eliot Brooke Mrs A, Kent and Miss Kathleen Kent were hostesses, and guests brought gifts for the pantry Of Miss Shackleton’s new home.

Mr and Mrs A. E. Burford entertained, friends at their home on Huntsbury Hill at a "variety” evening party given in honour of Miss Shackleton and Mr Brooke. The Missep Zola Burford and Lois D<ean gave an exhibition dance.
