TALISMAN DUBBO Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines, Ltd., reports that for the fortnight ended March 4, 173 tons of ore-realised £285, gold values at £7 12s per oz. KANIERI For the first half of March the Kanieri dredge return for 214 hours and 100,000 yards, was 732 ounces. BARRYTOWN For the first half of March the Barrytown return for 217 hours and 106,000 yards, was 347 ounces. NEW RIVER The New River return for the week ended March 15 was 290 z of gold from 4000 yards treated, in 66 hours. WHITE’S ELECTRIC Th£ White’s Electric return for the week ended March 16, was 270 z of gold from 6500 yards treated in 125 hours. \ PRICE OF GOLD LONDON, March 16. Gold is quoted at £7 8s 6d a fine ounce. PRICE OF SILVER (beitibh official wieeless.) RUGBY. March 16. Standard silver is quoted at 20gd a fine ounce spot and 20 l-16d forward. DAIRY PRODUCE LONDON MARKET DULL LONDON, March 16. The London butter market is dull. Dominion prices are unchanged. Danish is weaker at 1365. Cheese is slow. New Zealand, white and coloured, 60s; Australian, coloured 57s to 595, white 55s to 575.

FAIRLIE EWE FAIR ALL PRICES DECLINE [From Our Own Reporter.! FAIRLIE. March 17. There was a definite decline in prices at the Fairlie ewe fair to-day. Top price was secured by G. Giddings with a line of Romney two-tooths at 30s 3d, but other lines of the same age went down to 20s. Ewe lambs sold from 10s to 19s, and the best pen of sound ewes realised 17s. Old stock sold very poorly as the shortage of feed during the recent drought has glutted the market with that type of sheep. Strong woolled ewes were in much greater demand than fine wools, which were hard to sell. WHEAT MARKETS LONDON, March 16. Wheat cargoes are steadier and parcels are firm. Futures are quoted:—London, March 20s 6d a quarter, May 21s 5Jd; Liverpool (old contract), March 4s 3id a bushel, May 4s 4Jd, (new contract) March 4s Ifd, May 4s 2Jd, July 4s 43d, The spot trade is slow and easier. Australian ex ship is quoted at 23s 9d. Flour is weaker. Australian ex store is worth 18s 6d to 19s 3d. Chicago futures are quoted:—May 67i cents a bushel, July 67i cents. September 68J cents.
