FINAL OF PAIRS FIXTURE FOR SATURDAY
The Christchurch Bowling Centre decided last evening to hold the final of the champion of champion pairs on the Linwood green next Saturday afternoon, when Elmwood (A. S. Bryant, W. A. Featherston) and Opawa (R. B. Adcock, A. Archer) will contest the title. The singles will also begin on Saturday on the Linwood and Canterbury greens. The match committee reported that Edgeware' (Kennedy, Efford, Ives, Gagliardi), the holders, would play Elmwood (Smith, skip) in the Woolston shield series to-night. The Returned Soldiers Association's Robinson shield rink would travel to Ashburton on Saturday to meet Allenton, . . , ' The anifhal justices match, it was announced, will be played on Thursday, March 23, on the Linwood green. Entries for the Easter tournament will close on March 24. The second day of the rinks will be March 25, as the singles and rinks cannot go on together. After next Saturday it may be necessary to play off singles on week days. After some discussion, m which members took exception to infringement of the rule that players must wear white or cream trousers during play, it was decided to write to clubs stating that the rule must' be observed.
