OXFORD TERRACE BAPTIST CHURCH

HARVEST THANKSGIVING FESTIVAL

The annual harvest thanksgiving festival was observed yesterday at the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church. Gifts of corn, fruit, vegetables and produce, arranged in an effective decorative scheme, under the direction of Mrs V. C. Peters, made a valuable contribution to the services. There were large congregations, and the services were conducted by the Rev. H. E. Edridge, of Wellington. The chpirmaster was Mr V. C. Peters, and the organist Mr George Martin. The choir sang the anthems, “The Parable of the Harvest” (Thiman), "The Marvellous Work” (Haydn), and "For the Beauty of the Earth” (Liddleton). The soloists were Miss Audrey Holdgate and Messrs W. B. Lambert and G. McCann. The gifts of fruit and produce will be distributed to those in need.
