KAIMAI CHARTERED BY WESTPORT COMPANY

DUNEDIN, February JL4, Because of some defects discovered in the. boiler* of the collier Canopus during her annual overhaul, the Westport Coal Company, Ltd., has decided to lay her up indefinitely. Her place will be taken by the Kaimai, which has been chartered from the Union Steam Ship Company, The Westport Coal Company has placed Captain Rowlands, fox some years master of the Canopus, in charge of the Kaimai*,
