WORK OF GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE

As part of the Government’s plans for the rehabilitation of Britain’s agricultural industry a Government inter-departmental committee is examining various aspects of the problem and hopes are expressed in the newspapers that on January 25, when the delegates of the National Farmers’ Union will be called, into conference, preliminary plans will be available as a basis for a discussion of how, in the light of the trend of recent international affairs, and other factors, the farmingg industry can best undertake a greater part in safeguarding the country’s food supply.
