AIR STATION AT WIGRAM
BUILDING TENDERS ACCEPTED
DORMITORY EXTENSIONS
The growth of Wigram as a Royal New Zealand Air Force station is further indicated by the latest list of tenders accepted by the Public Works Department for buildings. A dormitory extension in timber will cost £5377, Mr D. R. T. Hali being the successful tenderer. Mr N. T. Webb, with a price of £1429, has secured the contract for the erection of cubicles and lavatory block for the temporary officers’ quarters. The tender of the Conlyn Importing and Construction Company has been accepted, at £ 659 10s, for alterations to the kitchen of the temporary officers’ quarters. For the fabrication, delivery, and assembly of an 11,000-gallon petrol tank, Mr E. J. Ruddick’s tender, in the sum of £3lB 15s, has been accepted.
