MOTOR-CYCLIST’S ARM AMPUTATED

When he was involved in a collision at a bend in the Buffer Gorge, Peter Brooky, a cabinetmaker, of Newtown, Wellington, a single man, aged 24, suffered severe injuries to the right arm. He was admitted to the Inangahua Hospital, Reefton, where it was found necessary to amputate his right arm at the shoulder.
Brooky was travelling to Westport on a motor-cycle, and when near Berlins was involved in a collision with a car. the door handle of which struck him on the arm. His condition at the hospital to-day was satisfactory.
MAN INJURED WHEN CAR LEAVES ROAD

GREYMOUTH. December 29. When a small sedan car, owned and driven by Frederick McSweeney, aged 55 years, who lives at William street, Christchurch, left the road between Kumara Junction and the Serpentine Creek bridge at a late hour on Wednesday night, and turned over several times, McSweeney was seriously hurt. He suffered concussion and severe lacerations of a leg and was admitted to the Grey Hospital. The bodywork of the car was almost completely wrecked.

CTBISa 4.SSOCIATIOB TELIOIIU.) WAIHI, December 29. One of the victims of the motorcar accident on Saturday evening at the intersection of Seddon and Martin roads. Waihi, William Hughes, aged eight, a son of Mr D. J. Hughes, of Te Aroha, died from injuries in the Waihi Hospital this morning.
