CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT BY CLERKS' UNION
* The secretary oi the Canterbury Clerical Workers' Union, Mr T. Nuttall. yesterday entertained at a Christmas gathering a number of those connected with the union’s affairs during the year, or prominent in industrial circles in the city. Amongst those present were Mr R. T. Bailey, ot the Labour Department, Mr J. S. Barnett, the Deputy-Mayor, Mr G. Gillespie, president of the union, Mr S. Ritchie. Conciliation Commissioner, Mr J. B. Trudgeon, acting-secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association, and Mr and Mrs NuttalL
