NEW HOSPITAL BUILDING

OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY AT HAMILTON

(PHBSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)

HAMILTON, December 20. The new central block of the Waikato Hospital was officially opened today by the Minister for Health (the Hon. P. Fraser). The building, which cost £29,600, is a two-storey building, with a large subway under the ground floor, extending the full length of the building. The entire building is constructed of reinforced concrete, embodying the latest earthquake and fire-resisting principals. Adequate accommodation is provided in the building for all departments, many of which were formerly in very cramped and inadequate quarters.
