SANDERS CUP TRIALS FIRST RACE ARRANGED FOB NOVEMBER 2* The first of the Canterbury Sanders Cup trials will be held at Lortteltan on November 26 and thereafter races viU be held on December 3. December 4. December 10, Decembr 11, and, if ncessary, on December 17. The conditions orovide that all boats must be entered by their owners, and will be under the jurisdiction of the Canterbury Association during the trials. Members of crews must be members of an affiliated club, and boats must carry an association number. If funds are insufficient, crews may be asked to nay part of their expenses. The boat and skipper most points will be selected to represent the province, and the crew wOT" be chosen on merit. Points will count as follows:—Races of two rounds, each round six for first, five for second, four for third, three for fourth, two "for fiffli. etc Races of three rounds, each round four for first, three and a third for second. two and two-thirds for third, two for fourth, one and one-third for fifth, etc. The final round in each race to carry extra points, four for first, three for second, two for third, and one far fourth.
