SMITHFIELD MAHKET LAMB STILL DEPRESSED HEAVY SUPPLIES OF HOME-KILLED (TXBM &saocx&M<» TSLX^UIC.) WELLINGTON, November 3. The New Zealand Meat Producer* Board's report on the Smithneld market covering the period ended November 3, states that heavy supplies; of home-killed lamb continue to depress the market. New Zealand prime lamb is still selling above best quality hornet killed, but consumption has naturally affected wethers and ewes. Trade re- . mains slow with prices easier. Frozen beef is meeting a good demand. Chilled beef, with lighter supplies, commands firmer prices for best quality. .
