ELDERLY MAN'S DEATH IN HOSPITAL
STRUCK BY SHUNTING ENGINE NEW PLYMOUTH, November 4. Mathias Jensen, who was struck by a shunting locomotive when he was crossing the railway line from the New Plymouth station to the port last Tuesday night, died in hospital early this morning. He suffered a bad fracture of the skull and thigh. He was a retired carpenter, aged 65, and lived at New Plymouth.
